Cellist Michelle Djokic
The Concordia Chamber Players continues its season on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Stephen Buck Theater in New Hope. Concordia’s artistic director, Michelle Djokic, will join pianist, Gail Niwa in a sparkling version of the rarely presented Sonata for Cello and Piano by Francis Poulenc. The sonata presents elements of French music and at times salon music, but sparkles with an abundance of joy and zest.
A selection of Gustav Mahler’s songs will be performed by baritone, Richard Lalli and the program will conclude with the Clarinet Trio by Johannes Brahms featuring famed clarinetist, David Krakauer.
The concert will begin at 3 PM in the Stephen Buck Theater at the New Hope-Solebury High School on 180 West Bridge Street in New Hope. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 215-297-5972. Children accompanied by an adult are always admitted free. Free parking is available directly outside the concert hall.
